Once more, my flying partner is tied up with family stuff. His son wants to do something with him for fathers day. I really need a backup flying partner.

I pulled the EVO 36 from the NoblARF #2 after giving it it's 3rd dirt bath. I refitted the NoblARF for the OS 35S and mounted one of the ABC conversions and a Tornado 10-4 3 blade prop.

HOT, slightly windy, a few sprinkles of rain. I flew the NoblARF #2/OS 35S ABC about 5 flights. I played musical props and ended up with the Cyclone 11-4.5. If it survived the turbulence I had today, it must be very close. I flew it with no muffler today and it was a little unstable. It turned pretty tight. I need to get a featherweight muffler.

Well at least you are getting some flying done. Between the tree, the granddaughters ball game and the wind, have not done any flying. Also temp are pushing 100F degrees.

Today makes 3 flying sessions I have missed. Hopefully my regular flying partner will be ready by next Sunday.

Long range forecast for next Sunday: 87*, 40% chance of rain, 9 mph wind. How close will the forecast be? No way to know.
Considering the amount of rain we've gotten lately, I hope the field hasn't turned into a swamp.

No rain, light and variable wind, extreme heat, no crashes. I put up 5 flights on the NoblARF #2/OS 35S-ABC. I used the XOAR 11-4 prop on all flights. I need a touch more power, but I think I will get it as the OS-ABC loosens up. If not, I will add nitro. My flying partner put the Galaxy clone in upside down and removed the canopy, not the rudder or prop. Next time out I will go with the Fronkensteen 4 and retrim it.

No rain, HOT, wind light and slightly variable. Put up 6 flights on the Fronkensteen 4. Had to add nose weight after first flight. Almost put it in inverted on second flight. Fuel tank plumbing solder joint failed.
UPDATE: I found a tank that should work. It is an old combat tank and has been pressure tested. I still need to play with the control system.

Weather-Hot, no rain, breezy, wind direction variable. Put up 3 flights on the Fronkensteen 4. "New" tank worked well. With no tank leakage, 3oz. is more than enough to get a pattern in with laps to spare. Last flight, yard dart. Only a broken prop thanks to rain soaked ground. Flying partner planted the BiSlob knocking the stab loose.

Well, we are supposed to have a nice weekend for our annual Classic and Profile Stunt Day Sunday August 25th with balloon burst. Would be nice to get more than one or flights in. Of course haven't flown since Memorial Day weekend.
