It really sucks when life interferes with flying.

Warm, windy, no rain. I flew NoblARF #2 & #3. NoblARF #2 quit on the second flight. No damage. I almost lost #3 at 2 points during the flight. I got lucky and recovered it. The predator I sold my flying partner/Johnson CS blew a head gasket. I cut a new one after I got home. I need to troubleshoot NoblARF #2's fuel system for next time.

Well the sun popped out for a few seconds and then went back into hiding. So far since Thursday AM have had rain, sleet and snow. Drizzling rain at least every day.

Temp moderate, wind breezy, no rain, this after nearly drowning the last few days. Put up 1 flight on the NoblARF #3/Brodak 40. Nearly flawless. Put up 3 flights on the NoblARF #2/EVO 36. Having a hard time starting and getting a prop match. Fantastic fuel mileage. I'll change out the Randy Smith NVA for the Fox 40 Pro Stunt NVA and see what happens.

Jehold, Yep, crummy weather! We are not that far apart - this is Wichita. My brother and I are going to fly on Monday! Temperature is supposed to be 73. We'll see what the wind does. R/C if not C/L. Have to fly something! I'm going nuts!

I went ahead and changed the venturi on the NoblARF #2/EVO 36 to the one from Lee machine shop, but retained the Randy Smith NVA. It starts a lot easier now.

This has to be the worst spring that I have encountered since doing crossing duty. Nothing like shirt sleeves for a day or two and then out comes the overcoat. Almost forgot the drizzling rain.

Looks like flying is cancelled this Sunday. My flying partner needs to do the mothers day thing.

Hot, no rain, light wind. Put up 1 flight on the NoblARF #3/Brodak 40. Doing good. Put up 3 flights on the NoblARF #2/EVO 36. Needs work. Too fast, not reliable, hard starting.

Looks like my flying partner is tied up again. He has to help move his son to another apartment Sunday. I need a backup flying partner.

Light drizzle, hot, humid, very light wind. Put up 5 flights on NoblARF #2/EVO 36. Played musical props. Tried XOAR 12-4, too much load. Tried XOAR 10-5E, pretty good, then tried 0% nitro, not quite enough power.

It seems that our forum "upgrade" has downgraded our ability to post pics. We are working at it.

Trace of rain at the end of the session. Warm, breezy. 4 flights on the NoblARF #2, one flight on the Galaxy clone. I pancaked the NoblARF #2, bent the gear. Took a large divot out of the turf.
