Ok, so a friend of mine died laughing when he saw a photo of the Italian jet that looks basically like a huge barrel with wings. The pilot sits on top in an open cockpit. For the life of me I can't remember the name or manufacturer of the airplane, so could someone help me out here?
Might be good for a grin or two if pics get posted ;D

Great, I will keep an eye on the mailbox for my grand prize !!! Surprisingly, not a lot of pictures available of it, and it even missed more than a mention in a couple of books I have about weird/ugly/strange aircraft. I finally found a pic this moring....not only that, someone built and flew a replica !!!!!

Seems like a plane like this they actually put in a afterburner assembly to increase thrust via a pipe in a circle toward the aft end. If I remember right, I read where it made a whole lot of noise and didn't help thrust much as the prop didnt' compress the air enough.

Fortunately, I'd never seen this thing before, & I'm not sure if I want to see it again ---- but then some perverted part of me is wondering if a model pickle-barrel would be an interesting project
