Another fantasy composition, I think. This represents a concept called the "blended wing", which is basically a design for a fuselage-less airliner--ala B-2. The airplane is supposed to be able to carry more passengers and have a longer range due the reduced drag from not having a body. Boeing is (or was) toying with the idea of actually building one, but for now, it exists only on paper. The drawings I've seen all have the engines buried within the structure, instead of exposed as shown in the pic. Besides, what city skyline could that possibly be in the background?

This idea was floated during the days of the Northrop Flying Wings -- aside from the technical problems associated with stability, it was abandoned because the passengers outboard of the centerline would be subjected to high G-loads even in a mild turn. The turning radius of the aircraft was going to be many miles at cruising speed, & the G-loads on turn-in to an approach would have been unacceptable. Ergo, it can't be real, & won't be in the future, as it is portrayed.

The airlines should charge extra though, for the more exciting ride towards the tips.. ergo a roller coaster thrill.

Oh, forgot to ask in the last post, what is that city in the background. I don't get around much to a large city other than a few in the midwest/rocky mountains such as Kansas City, Ok City, Dallas, San Antonio, Denver. So, I guess I am a skyline challenged person. ;D
