I would like to think this country is waking up to statism, central planning and liberal ideas, but I seriously doubt that much thought has gone into it, its more that the left is disinterested, the honeymoon is over and they are busy trying to survive their utopia. The right despite the rhetoric is still struggling vacillating between being simply becoming all out democrats and the 'moderates' trying to find excuse for how they won to alienate the teaparty more.
One thing is for sure, they will have no excuses come 2016, if nothing come out of congress, no excuse will save them from a reversed drubbing.

They aren't accepting this was about their vision of utopia. It has to be someone else's fault.
Pelosi said last night that this shows how voter suppression is a big problem. Reid, even though about 5 of his own party's senators have thrown him under the bus for his tyrannical shutdown of debates and votes, refuses to see any problem with how he ran the Senate. The O isn't the least bit fazed by the election results (at least publicly).
I think they're blaming it on ground level get-out-the-vote people not doing their job while they're going to lean on donors hard to make this all about not enough campaign cash. I'm sure some pollsters and political consultants will be scratched off the turn-to list. It's going to be anything except them or what they actually do in the course of performing their jobs.
But apparently people are not only losing faith in these charlatans, they've plainly had enough and want to try a different formula. As you've said, the R's have two years to put up or shut up, and in two years no one will remember why they were not enthused about the D party a couple days ago. Lots of crises to be made between now and then. I expect event #1 on the schedule to be Ferguson with an announcement of no arrest, no charges against the officer and that will be followed by the DOJ sticking their nose in and filing some BS charge that will be drawn out for a couple years only to conclude their really isn't any evidence to support it. We won't find that out, however, until mid Nov 2016 so that this can be milked for all the racially minded voters it can turn out.
When these slippery snake types lose, they just fight increasingly dirty and in their minds the ends justifies the means.

I didn't mean that they were accepting blame for the current status of things, but they are trying to survive in it. Far too many people would still vote for Obama today. The leadership is just sticking to the game plan and blaming republicans. People who are not subsidized are not buying this is a GOP caused political and economic environment since the dems have made so much noise about running it. But really voter suppression , and now they expect compromise, concession and full power sharing and equitable representation? Claiming the American people in voting tyhem out wanted the GOP to work with them? only in DC could you claim that and not be committed for a psych evaluation. The Dem legislature have avidly allowed themselves to become inconsequential and irrelevant, its why they were fired, so I hope the GOP lets them enjoy that with only token inclusion on committees. Hopefully the GOP will find its backbone, but that hope is about as expected as winning the lottery. As to Ferguson, I thought the DOJ report was already leaked to say they concluded they did not have enough evidence to charge the Ferguson cop for anything. It will be a problem, because the admin stuck its nose in it, and now people are expecting them to fix it.

Heh, I see the dems voted Nancy back in as minority leader, I guess they like that role since she is so good at keeping them there.
