Oh how I've missed these empty sales pitches!!
Note to the rnc; You'll do better offering free RomneyPhones than promising to stop the Chicago sewer dwellers...If anything you embolden them at the least and are complicit at the worst, which is my belief.
Probably trying to soften us up for a Jeb Bush run...

I have a feeling its already in play the parties choice will be Hillary and Jeb in 16, with a record low turnout.

I have little doubt of it. The wife and I cast our mail-in ballots last night...What a dismal hour and a half, her insisting that we research the candidates online (except for any with "legalize cannabis" in their affiliation tag, and there were PLENTY), I wrote in on several races, from Teletubbies to the Pilsbury Doughboy, though one "libertarian" candidate had as her motto the quote from John Adams condemning a two-party political system. I did vote for her, though I guess technically that would be construed as Identity Politics... My sole reason for actually wanting to vote this year is the local sheriff's race; The Good 'Ol Boy and everybody's next door neighbor's son's uncle's busdriver's softball coach's little brother vs. an actual lawman, Constitutional adherent and union-buster. He actually came to my house and we stood in the driveway for over an hour as he explained changes that were necessary to adapt the counties archaic (and dubious) LE system to the challenges happening and coming. Then a few weeks later he stopped by again and we had coffee in the dining room and discussed a lot of 2A stuff. He's the only "political" candidate I've ever actively campaigned for. He's going to lose, because Identity Politics has ruled this area for an age and isn't going to stop now. Believe it or not, I too actually rode the school bus with Mr. Popular when I was a kid--Don't even remember that, my mom told me about it when I asked her why they had his campaign sign in the driveway...They couldn't come up with even one quality the guy has for being elected. So they're finding more Automatic Voting Machines, we all knew that Chicago's been using them for decades, and there's little doubt in my mind that Cleveland and Philly introduced them in 2012, and the Messiah has now incentivized illegals to vote with free and immediate citizenship should the elections swing Galvin's way...So I guess the Outhouse Engineer is right after all, elections are an exercise in futility. At least our mail-ins are postage-paid...

I don't understand what the RNC thinks is the reason for everyone suddenly wanting them. They haven't done diddly to earn a vote far as I can see. They are all stage show and puppets as far as I am concerned.
Can you name ONE thing any of the nation characters in these mid-terms actually STAND FOR? Are they going to get rid of O-care? No, no plan to do that. Are they going to get this ridiculous PC-lunch thing out of our schools? No, no plan for that. Are they going to do anything about the borders? No, no plan for that. How about lowering taxes? Oh.. uh.. we don't campaign for that anymore, it's kind of a given. A GIVEN? What taxes will you cut? Oh, we have no specific plan for it but we support tax cuts.
I guess that means they'll capitulate as soon as a Democrat proposes a tax cut. That's like hoping they'll outlaw abortion.
You know who the Republican party reminds me of? Those billboard Chik-Fil-A advertisements where they have a couple of cows who can't spell very well up there trying to send a message to eat more chicken. Everything they say is self-serving and they refuse to act on anything because they are cowed.
Don't worry, if they get elected there will be two solid weeks of news stories about how much they need to reach across the aisle to get things done. Pelosi and other gas bags will relentlessly remind them of their "obligation" to work with other members of congress and let their voices be heard too. You know, everything the Dems absolutely wouldn't do... that's what they'll be demanding. I'd bet they demand an equal number of committee chairs, wouldn't surprise me.
Whoever gets in, it won't be with my hand helping. I'm done voting; total waste of time.

I'm still voting because once I am done, I am about a half breath away from starting to shoot.
The dems are so bad the GOP is riding that into majority, maybe. But you are exactly right, no plan to do anything other than freeze out more teaparty people in prep for 2016. I just watched a thing on the legalized insider trading by congress, I am ready for them all to be hung.

'Pubs can ride the "wave" into office all they want, and I don't know if they have the wherewithal to grasp the concept, but nobody is voting FOR them. Mark Levin made the point about those who promote "vote conservative in the primary, republican in the general" as being hypocrites and fools, effectively putting Limbaugh, Hannity, and a host of other self described conservatives in that category without naming them. This election is for most nothing more than a statement. If the gop gains more control and continues in the Boehnor/McConnell tradition, it will be the final putting down of the one legged dog...
Also note that because nothing has ever been done regarding the blatant fraud and cheating going on, the polls may well prove upside-down, just like in 2012.

The more I think about it, I'm more and more convinced that this "wave" is not quite going to make it to shore...I do believe that in the few states where Tea endorsed candidates surmounted the gop/dim attacks there will be perhaps even historic landslides. But what of places like Mississippi where the gop machine blatantly undermined the obvious contender in the primary? I think a lot of burned voters are going to do what they did two years ago. Nobody I know of equates republicans with anything but democrats.

It would be one thing if there was the possibility they would oust Boehner and get a real leader in the House. Until that time, the only thing I think we can expect is for the House to be led by a team of followers and reactionists instead of people with a vision and a plan.
What would make me vote?
- A commitment to pass a law that makes failing to enforce existing laws on the books by ANY government official a felony and a basis for impeachment - A serious crackdown on voter fraud. The same ID requirements for government benefits by any state must be the minimum accepted at the ballot box - A revision to defamation laws that remove the requirement to show actual damages and the addition of a requirement for public media including blogs to print retractions in at least the same size, format, and placement as the original damaging story. For radio and television, that means as much air time goes into the retraction as the original false story. - Changing Federal judicial terms from life to 6 years with no possibility of reappointment. - Any law passed by Congress must have no congressional exceptions.
That's a good start. No one from either party wants to talk about those.
O'Keefe has a good piece on voter fraud in NC. You're illegal, you got a driver's license, you register to vote when you get the license... so now you get to commit a felony by voting as a non-citizen with no right to cast a ballot.
See - it's a total waste of time because it's teeming with fraud and deceit and that's exactly what the elected officials want. Way I see it is they won't represent my opinions if elected so why help them? Let them go cater to the unregistered non-citizens they seem to be after.
