With the crash of the Fronkensteen 4, I am left with no decent stunt models to fly. Now I HAVE to get busy and repair some models just to have something to fly. No longer any choice.

I finally got back into the shop and started doing some long neglected odds and ends. It actually feels good to be back working on planes again. Some of the wrecks are going to need a lot of work. It's not like I don't have the time.

Garf, too bad we are so far apart. If it wern't for family I would be there with you to fly. I also have enough planes to last for a while. Of course the last time I went out I almost lost a plane. Got in a hurry and not thinking thought I had the wrong lines. Pulled another set and discovered I had the right lines. But, in switching lines I got them crossed. Anyway two sets of lines now in the trash. Did get flights on the new planes. Since that day it has been too windy to fly.

Bad weather lately here too. Cool, windy, light mist of a rain. Not that it matters much right now.

No flying this Sunday either. I need another flying partner. Not many people flying C/L down here.

Nice temp close to 60F degrees. Misting rain and wind gusts. So no flying here either.

Slightly warm, slightly humid, light wind, no rain. I took a couple of junkers with me to fly. The first one was a reconstituted Stuka Stunt with a ST G21 46 on it that hadn't been run in over a year. It wouldn't start, plug fouled with thick castor. Changed plug, it started but wouldn't stay running. I checked the plug's package, medium cool. Changed it again, installed Fox miracle plug. Ran good. Ran 3 flights, the mixture was erratic. Could be hardened castor in the tank. My partner flew his BiSlob. After one too many tail slides, the stab came loose. Enough for one day.

My flying partner wants to make the most of a few days off. He wants to fly Tuesday. I am retired so it is no problem for me plus there is no fee for the park during the week. Attachments:

Slightly warm, no rain, breezy. My flying partner brought his nephew and 2 friends with him and let them try to fly some of my wrecks with predictable results. Time for another bonfire.

Looks like no more flying for a while. My flying partner has gone back to being a schoolteacher for the rest of the school year. HELP!

My flying partner tells me that he will be allowed to fly during the week. After all this time and the crash of the Fronkensteen 4, it is going to take a lot of work to get back into the air again.
