Morning news reports Iraq is in a panic and Baghdad is being marched on by Al Qaida backed militia aided by Syrian rebels who have crossed into Iraq after being beaten back in Syria who was openly aided by Russia.
Once again we get the real world result to real world application of Carteresque or even libertarian isolationist ideas of being nice and leaving people alone leads to world peace. This arguably could have been avoided with some real statesmanship and keeping a minimal presence and rapid reaction potential. I only say arguably because there have always been those who adamantly claim say we can't 'westernize' anyone, and any effort in Iraq was going to fail, even though its been done before as long as we remained there to do it.
On the other hand the idea of leaving and removing all influence has historical catastrophic consequence for us, we did it in Iran 40 years ago and it gave us the birth of a terror state, we did it in Afghanistan 25 years ago and it gave us 9-11, we did it in Iraq and I imagine we will see new levels of aggression, destabilization and terror attacks coming from there.
The damage this president has done is likely never going to be fixed, he transformed not only us, but the world, and not for the benefit of freedom or capitalism.

Watching the news is verboten to me. She's even figured out how to keep me in bed on Sunday mornings so I miss watching Brit Hume make monkeyshit out of bugeyed Juan Williams.
I can read the news online if She isn't in the room, but even my go-to sites have become so polarized and biased that objectivity is something only a Galvin is capable of anymore (place sarcasm gif here). It's not that I don't believe the main thrust, but I no longer trust that I'm getting the full spectrum.
For instance; I read yesterday that Preezy Mogambe proclaimed in a speech that "world violence" is at historic lows and that gun violence in the US is at the highest level in American history. Even the monkeys flying out of my ass know it's the other way around...The Lord Messiah Obama is incapable of lying or propagandizing, so I know the story to be untrue. How many times has he had to straighten us out by telling us "I never said that"?
The history of the Mesopotamian region foretells the inevitability of outsider failure there. I proposed a plain of molten glass on 9/12/01, and my belief has never changed in that regard. Islamo-fascists understand only one thing. Period.

It's a bit premature to expect any reaction out of the WH or our esteemed Sec. of State (who served in Vietnam). Polls have to be taken; focus groups have to be surveyed; we have to know how the labor unions can favor from all of this; someone has to come up with a way to demonstrate a favorable impact on the climate by whatever action we take or do not take. That's going to take a few weeks, then the politispeak minions can let us know the Mighty O felt this way all along.
Until that happens, we're in the usual chaos of being led by a so-called leader who has no clue and isn't capable of making a decision unless the results are certified good first. In the recent GITMO prisoner swap, we were initially told the O had to act quickly in order to save Private Birddog's life - and that was the party line up until all the negative backlash and the partying in the streets by Al Queda, then suddenly it was Sec. Hagel's fault. Well, all I can say is O was told up front Hagel was the most unqualified person to ever lead the DoD, so who's fault is it that it is Hagel's fault?
Best we can hope for right now information-wise is to wait for Susan Rice to come forward with a briefing, then believe just the opposite.
Maybe we can trade the rest of the GITMO terrorists if Al Queda promises to stay out of Bagdad... for now.
What a freakin' joke this Prez. is. It's like he can't find his own ass with both hands.

I don't think he is a joke at all, I think he is a traitor, there is no way anyone could be this incompetent and still be able to hold a job at McDonalds much less stay president. Unless of course he and enough members of congress had an agenda that was not in the interest of the country to start with. At present rate the left and libertarians are going to get their wish and there will be wars fought on our streets.
Beck was on Hannity on the radio yesterday, and last night on TV, which I tolerated for while on the road and then caught right before bed (what a pair of douchebags they are at times). After I hear Hannity proclaim Iran invaded Iraq before to take it over and couple other subtle outright lies, and Beck angling to paint himself as MLK part deux and near complete reversal of his position just a couple years ago on the wars speaks volumes.
Becks new opinion is we can't win westernizing, (which he seemed to think he has claimed all along), so we should have just bombed them and came home. Well that has not worked so well in the past, in fact they consider that a reason to join up and attack us calling us cowards.
There has always only been 3 options. One is to kill them and keep killing them until they no longer want to attack anyone ever even if its to the last Muslim on the planet, which is not going to be done in a modern world.
The other, and what Bush doctrine was more or less, to force the Islamists into a cultural change, introducing capitalism and democratic process so we would share a common interest and hopefully learn to coexist.
And finally simply learn to live with Sharia law and ever increasing attacks on us and instability as Islam grows in strength and try to appease them in hopes they leave us alone, which is the most likely end result and in fact the base of our current foreign policy.
I have to wonder just when the rest of the world will wake up and realize Islam is not compatible with anything else and able to be coexisted with. We always hear about the billion Muslims but only a few are militant, yet not a peep when they are killing women and people of other faiths for simply not being Muslim. There is a huge difference between Joe Mohamed practicing a faith and just trying to live in a world and be left alone, and Islamic States and militants. The latter 2 without fail are oppressive and aggressive expansionists. And while Joe may not want to pay attention or be involved, they are doing it in his name, and eventually it will be all the Joes who pay the price along with their militant leaders. Too late will that lesson be learned.

Joe is no better than the terrorists. He is tacitly condoning the terrorists. Until all the so-called peace loving imams stand up and condemn these acts and tell the world and their followers that, in their opinion, the terrorists are going straight to hell. Until that happens, my stance is the only good Muslim is a dead Muslim.

Any time I hear from a liberal that Islam is a peaceful religion and all that kind of crap I always ask them to name any one prominent liberal that lives in a Muslim country, and when they can't I ask them to offer an explanation of what that is. ALWAYS they claim it's not that there's anything wrong with the Muslim countries, it's just that the language barrier is so difficult.
Really? So if they could just speak Arabic or Peshawar or Farsi or whatever the language might be, they'd be just fine living under Sharia law? Where gay marriage equals a double death penalty? Where there are no social programs like welfare, unemployment, food stamps, Obamaphones, etc.? Where right to express one's thoughts doesn't exist, nor does the Bill of Rights. All of those aren't important, and would be given up in a minute if only one didn't have difficulty with another language?
It's always fun to see the look on their face when they realize they don't even believe their own BS.
I'm sure Obama will come up with a plan eventually. Maybe he'll even give them some of our old nuclear weapons if they promise to behave and not use them on Americans while he's in office. You can rest assured it will be something the folly of which defies logic.
Personally I think the House ought to pass an immediate resolution demanding the President act on Iraq within 2 weeks, then claim they were all actually against any action before they were for it. At least the Sec. of State will understand.
Meanwhile, Obama can claim some success in reduction of fossil fuel carbon as gas prices are predicted to skyrocket again as a result of more disruption in the middle east.

This is what Obama unleashed on the world.

Looks like a peace-loving Muslim to me just doing what any Prophet in the 600's A.D. might expect.
I came up with an idea for Obama to blame the situation in Iraq on. The cook at GITMO sent a video to the middle east showing him loading up the prisoner's food with bacon shavings and pulled pork. The insurgents (what we call terrorists) in Syria just went wild when they found out their brothers in GITMO have been porkified all these years and decided to retaliate by storming Mosul, deducting (stealing) $451 million from the Bank of Iraq, then marching on Baghdad.
Where's Susan Rice, I'll let her know and see if she tries to sell us on the "it was a viral video" story line again.

Then I suspect we are just as liable for Obama? Which surprisingly enough we are always collectively held responsible for the actions of other Americans by everyone else in the world, yet people will bend over backwards, especially here to make sure Muslims are not painted with the same brush and I have no idea why.
We know Islam as practiced and preached by far is not compatible with anything else, because its being preached that it is the only acceptable way to live and dictates to detail how that is done. While faiths like Christianity claims you will not make it to heaven without becoming one and leaving that final judgement to God, Islam insists you live as one now. While all Muslims and their Imams are not acting on it, by far and especially in other countries, they are preaching that. Sharia law is incompatible with any kind of freedom, even or maybe especially, leftists liberal twisted ideas of freedom.
Anyway, even after all that this incompetent affirmative action appointee in the oval office has done to date it was really astounding to see him react to Al Qaeda backed rebels just hours outside of Baghdad and Iraqi govt begging for assistance to have his say Well I have to consider my options and we'll get back to you in a the coming days." I have no love for the Iraqi govt, but I have much less love for a Caliphate and what that will mean for us in the future.
That congress has abdicated all responsibility is just as bad. This form of govt has simply failed and ceases to function. Like a motorcycle that quit running, it only continues through momentum, but that momentum is slowing and it will eventually stop and fall over.

The leftist claim on the above photo is now that it's photoshopped. Isn't it pathetic, a mentality so desperate to condone the many criminal and traitorous acts of this regime that they'll blindly make claims without a shred of evidence? What utter fools, and they insist on dragging the rest of us to slaughter...

Well the picture obviously IS retouched, but it appears the only retouching is to throw the faces of the decapitated out of focus. Some of the heads are in the same vertical plane as the knife - and the knife is in focus, yet the faces are not. A camera alone can't do that, it has to be retouched or Photoshopped in order to add the blur. But that doesn't mean the picture is fake, i.e. - the person and heads were never in the same room at the same time kind of faked.
When gas goes to $4.50/gal and businesses slow to a crawl as a result, we'll see whether or not the business community puts pressure on the WH and Congress to act. When it starts effecting their campaign coffers they'll pay attention. The only thing history teaches about this is continuing to push them back in stages only means they will wait until you're tired then seize more than they had. They did it with Constantinople. They did it to much of the Roman empire. Now they've done it in Syria, Egypt, Irag, Afghanistan, and much of Pakistan. Every time it was the result of failing to keep pressure on Muslims when it was easy to do. We started this administration with stability in all but SW Syria and the only loudmouths were N. Korea, Iran, and Hezbolla, a subset of Iran. Now the entire middle east is blowing up.
I guess short of that we can just wait for local hotspots of Sharia to start popping up here in the USA. Once they behead the first gay couple they find or stone some teenage girl for having sex outside of marriage, it will be a little too late for the liberals to think the problem through and realize the only way to stop fanatics is to kill them or instill so much fear in them they will go find another target. The only ones who have to fear the O currently are the same people targeted by IRS.
I just got a phone call from my son tonight. He's northbound in the Arabian Sea. It's just after 4am his time, and his ship is heading to the Persian Gulf (according to the news today). He tells me they are going there but there are no big plans when they get there. Just more posturing by the WH apparently. Guess this President hasn't learned the lessons Jimmy Carter learned the hard way - that sending a carrier off a nation's coast doesn't intimidate a force of outsiders who aren't from that nation anyway. It's sad to know we have a guy at the helm who's so narcissistic that he can't even grasp the basics of what his military advisers have to be telling him. Even the greenest Ensign or Second Lieutenant knows these things.
By the way, isn't it great the VA is fixed and we don't hear about any more problems with it? Must have been some hefty investigation they conducted to have the problems suddenly fall off the radar.

Hitemp, the VA treachery is now on a rolladeck along with literally dozens of Chicago-style abuses and criminal acts going as far back as the shutting down of "select" GM and Chrysler dealerships and the seizure of investor power subsequently turned over to the unions. Some scandals will come back up occasionally, like the IRS scam is now coming up for one more breath of air. They "lost" Lois Lerners emails. Oh darn, case closed. Next!!!
This is what being overwhelmed is; What very few legitimate media watchdogs out there simply can't keep up, and even if the state run media actually became ethical and purposed again, there aren't enough programming hours in a day to cover it all. All the Mogambe regime has to do is switch to another topic just long enough to confuse attention spans, then when an earlier unresolved scam comes back up we get the usual "Wha--That story's 2 years old!" crap out of "enthusiastic supporters" across the fruited plain. I don't think for a minute that this isn't part of the plan...
...and in the meantime the country and the world comes closer and closer to the stuff of the Apocalypse.
I have taken to emailing my "representative", Collin Peterson, the welfare pimp to corporate farmers everywhere and Monsanto's chosen boy. I say the exact same thing every time;
"If you aren't actively and publicly being part of the solution to the treachery and crime in this government, you ARE an accomplice. Word is getting around."
I leave my phone number every time, which so far is 4 or 5 times I've sent the message. He hasn't called me back. Yet.

Well to be fair, the VA was a mess for decades, its just been getting steadily worse, his connection to it is just appointing political favorites to a position with no regard to doing the job hired for, and just another in the litany of lies this clown used to get elected and reelected. Did you hear Reid the other day? The reason the VA is a disaster is because of Bush and his wars that deluged the VA with vets having problems we "have never had before" . What a low grade POS, I will be glad when he is gone. Anyway, I hope you son and the rest of the sailors and marines stay safe, hard to tell what this dumbass will do trying to appear doing something by doing nothing and end up getting people killed over it. People think this is just mideast problem, but I know Europes in real danger of being subverted and destablized, France especially has a large number of Muslims, something like 8% officially though I read a story about them coming in illegally now as well, they have basically taken over sections of cities, the police won't even go in there unless called and only then in number. Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland, Netherlands and a few other northern European nations have 5% and greater populations and are growing 10 times faster than indigenous populations are. That's about 10x the population percentage we have here, yet we have places like Islamberg and several other Muslim only 'communities' which are nothing more than compounds and training camps, ran by rigid sharia law, that have been ignored almost completely by the law and media, along with a political wing of CAIR to make sure it stays that way. And lets face it the media and admin is more interested and considers any teaparty member being armed more of a threat than all of Islam put together.

The VA is a lot worse than it used to be. A LOT! Years ago when I went for a hearing eval and an asbestos scan, my appointment was for four weeks out. I recently (early May) tried to get another appointment and they told me to call back in July, that I was looking at an earliest available of mid-October, more likely November. This and I have to travel to Mississippi to get the testing done. They did give a number to call in the event I felt I had severe PTSD symptoms.
One of the VA's big problems is that it's run by a lot of political cronies who are all about big budgets. They'll build a new clinic or hospital across town from a perfectly useable one then cry that they have no money left to staff the monster, so half the building is empty. Try to cut a dime from them and they're the first ones to scream bloody murder, yet giving them more money means they'll buy new office furniture and travel to conventions a lot, while only few of those dollars actually go to providing care. They know the game well, which is why they are constantly trying to woo vets in their doors because if they don't get enough patients that means a bunch of managers are out of work, and no government entity will stand for that.
The veterans organizations are just as bad, acting like recruiters for the VA system while at the same time they're criticizing it. Why, I ask, do you want me to use a system you just said is AFU? Well, see, if they just had more patients Congress would give them more money and... and.. and... Remember, this is the model for what a good deal O-care is. Worked for Romney in MA, right? MA voters just voted this year to throw Romneycare overboard because - as predicted - it doesn't work because it gets overloaded with people who use it when they're not sick or should be using a different facility like a clinic.
I wonder what would happen if I had to depend on VA for medicines, and maybe had some difficulty with one of them. Oh, call us in Feb, we'll try to get to you by June?
Mr. "I'll fix it" hasn't done squat and won't do squat. Why should he, he's out of the news cycle now so he can go golf while Rome burns, what's he care? What would be justice is for him to get his care at the VA and Congress too.
Speaking of Mr. Bean Fixit, I wonder if he sustained any neck damage from the sudden head-snap on troops in Iraq? I'm not sending troops to Iraq. Yes I am. No I'm not. Well, only a few. They don't count because they're only there to protect the embassy. Besides, John Effing Kerry is working on getting Iran to help out here. Ahh, those sanctions weren't working anyway.
I also wonder who in the military industrial complex has suddenly jammed a sharp stick into the ass of Sen. McCain? He hasn't been this animated since he worked on campaign finance deform.
The Nav just sent another ship to the gulf; this one an amphip type with heloplanes (V-22 Ospreys). My guess is they are there in case the Baghdad thing doesn't work out and the embassy folks have to beat feet. You know, there is just something about a person who would stand by and watch a group of barbarian thugs plunder a nation - beheading people, crucifying others, and lining up half a town in a ditch for target practice - that makes me think he is no damn good as a human being, much less a politician. He can speachify all he wants, but his actions say he's a clueless and heartless SOB that would sell out his own mother.

Heheh, yeah I saw that he had sent some troops in to bolster security when just hours before there would be no boots on the ground, and I was thinking "wow, we must have some new levitation technology that keeps them from touching the ground."
I saw the amphib last night, I guess they decided they didn't want yet another Bengazi on their legacy. But you can bet he will pay lip service and do too ;little too late, maybe already, to keep Iraq from falling either to Isis or become a full on puppet of Iran.
On another note wtf are Iraqis thinking? Giving up and trying to walk away? They are not facing the US military who is probably the most compassionate conquerors in history, they are facing old school jihadists.
I am reminded of of this quip - "They may find me dead in ditch someday, but by God, they will find me in a pile of brass."

Not all of us. There are some of us that rant and rave against Obama - which is all Muslims need to do to about terrorists to get me to change my mind. So yes, we are all painted with Obama's sh!t programs, but it's not accurate.

Come on, half the voting public can't be this blind, stupid or ignorant unless it's intentional. This isn't so much about free Obamaphones and the Crime of the Day Club in DC. It's more about an idiot 1930s era population that would usher it in.
