There are a few adventurous souls that like to push the limits, both toward the larger end and smaller end of things. First Dan Banjocks double size Flite Streak. Asp 1.08

My Taube above was built from a kit produced by Nick Ziroli in 1984 as a three channel RC kit. During the build the 88 inch wing was changed from a single piece to a two piece to fit in my van. Next the wing tips were cut loose and hinged for Ailerons but that still was not scale so I reworked the wing to allow scale Wing Warping. Actually the Jeannin Stahltaube does not warp the wing but actually bows the trailing edge up at the tips. This is accomplished in a scale fashion by 6 cables from the Cane Fishing Poles to a hinged "A" frame mounted above the wing and controlled by a scale cable running over the wing leading edge, through a pulley, and back under the wing to the body about at the pilot's feet. There is a heavy duty Servo mounted in the model to control the Wing Warping. The model was designed with a rigid horizontal tail all the way back and the last three inches were hinged and controlled with a push rod. I converted it to a true flexing tail that is controlled by scale 8 cable bridles above and below controlled by cables from my three piece 4 inch Bellcrank over pulleys on the Rudder Post to give Pull Pull control. The rudders are controlled by a servo using Pull Pull cables. The Rudders and Vertical Fins size and shape were corrected to be scale. I do not blame Nick Ziroli for any errors in the kit because he kitted it 3 years before the only one in existence was restored at the Museum in Berlin Germany. He only had old pictures of different planes for reference, I have over 40 color pictures, all of high quality, of ONE airplane to work from. The Curator for Air and Space at the German Technical Museum, Berlin assisted in documenting the colors I used on my model. That should give you an idea of the work that went into building this model. Below is a short video of it's first flight, the plane landed fine but the photographer fell down! www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyFTqt8pSsc Clancy

I was really impressed with this model at Brodak's last June. Marc Warwashana and I had the privilege of helping get it ready for judging. Joe Attachments:

Nice fleet. I was never able to get my Barnstormer to fly right. I trashed one to make the GarfStormer. That almost flew right.

Garf I started building Barnstormers after my flying buddy Jack Sheeks won Old Time Stunt at the NATS with one back in the 1980s.
The Fox 35 in the Barnstormer has ALL of the Marvin Denny recommended MODS installed.
