Apparently Senator Kerry has discovered his "seared memory" was seared in the wrong place or something. Now his position is he WASN'T in Cambodia during Christmas of 1968 while Nixon, who wasn't President for another month, "lied to the people about his location." www.drudgereport.com/dnc93.htmNow he says it was January, not Christmas, when he was sitting in his boat in Cambodia. Hopefully he's double checked his "facts" this time. I wonder how many apologies those swift boat veterans will get for having been branded liars and bigots, when it now turns out they were right? What will this guy act like if elected and a scandal hits his administration? He's flip-flopped on everything but his choice for running mate, so I don't hold much hope he's going to be the open and honest executive he promises to be.

Did anybody here see the comment Kerry made about fighting the war with "sensitivity"? It was the most ridiculous comment I have ever heard. Coupled with his forward thrust of his right hand as he said it with gusto, it was comical. Since when would anyone ever use the words "war and "sensitivity" in the same sentence? I'll tell you when...when campaigning pelvically. He was making a grab for the soccer moms.
It is no coincidence that a remake of "The Stepford Wives" was released this summer. Rest assured that the dems are hoping (against hope) that the '60's will rise again. Well I'm sorry dems, but they won't. You see, we raised our children in the '90s and got accused of being the "rich" by you (when we were struggling to make ends meet up to our a$$es in personal debt) and we intend to pay that debt off rather than to file for bankruptcy as your biggest contributor (the trial lawyers' association) would encourage us to do with their 1-800 commercials. Why? because unlike your left-wing base, we are not deadbeats.
It is one thing to hang onto a Senate seat in a predominatantly liberal district. It is quite another to win the presidency.
WJC won first by waffling against a president with an eroding base (remeber 'read my lips...no new taxes'?) and won a second election by defeating a moderate (and some would argue a liberal) republican within whose senatorial district I was raised (he was a political whore).
Everybody pretty much knows where GWB stands. And a waffling opponent will not overcome a wartime president with a firm resolve. Sensible people understand this and will stay the course. The majority of voters in the US are sensible.
That is my prediction (and watch what happens to the stock market and oil prices the day after GWB wins the election...because unless you are an Al Qaeda operative, you will be pleased).

Well Bush has a eroding base also, immigration, spending, growth of govt and education are some things he has lost support from his base over.
I doubt even all those strikes will be enough to elect the likes of Kerry, but we will see what we see come Nov.

Kerry has also said that he'd work to get the illeglals their new homes... in fact, to me it sounded like he'd just as soon kick some gringos out of their jobs and homes to get the wets in... of course, we all know they wouldn't be too close to any of his five mansions. JohnC
