I was wondering if you get to listen to the Glen Beck program on talk radio in your neighborhood. The subject this morning was illegal immigration from Mexico, primarily across AZ borders, and the huge jump in numbers lately of NMOs (Not of Mexican Origin). They interviewed a guy named Chris Simcox, a reporter for a Tombstone newspaper, who seems to have all kinds of evidence that the government is denying exists, including video of armed incursions into AZ by Mexican military who are hired to protect drug runners.
I think this issue should be brought to the forefront, because I believe that besides these illegals ruining livelihoods for countless citizens and sucking the lifes blood out of social programs in this country, our next terror perpetration will likely come from people who simply scampered unhindered across the Mex/American frontier.
Unfortunately the Dems are cashing in just as big on illegal labor, or they would have made a MAJOR issue of this blatant security breach by our government by now. The Latino vote in this country comprises only 6% of the total, and L-E-G-A-L Americans of Mexican descent are just as disgusted with how this is being handled as anyone else.
Any links you can supply on this topic?

Hey, stetto. No, we don't get him down here. At least not on my radios. One of these days I'm going to spring for a GOOD radio, but not until I can't build or fly, probably. Chris Simcox is the owner/editor/head reporter of the Tombstone paper. He organized the "Civil Homeland Defense" a group of border watchers whose main purpose is to make aspublic as possible just how open our southern border is. He has a website: www.civilhomelanddefense.us/ that give you a pretty good idea of what's going on down here. BTW, Simcox is not liked by our federal caretakers... he seems to be able to find illegals when they can't/don't/won't. They even lured him onto national Park proerty while he was carrying and made a real big deal out of it. Now he just lets the rangers take care of their own illegal problems. We yell, scream and generally raise as much he!! as we can about it, but Jim "Pinky" Kolbe, "Judas John McCain and "Flakey" Jeff just smile and tell us we don't know what we're talking about. We're just waiting for the day that some big shot or a member of his family is injured/robbed or worse by one of these slimeballs... They'll probably close the border down within hours! JohnC

Here's Glenn's page; www.glennbeck.com/home/index-big.shtmlHe archives his shows, so you can download yesterday's (July 29)...He had guest hosts on, but the subject was as I told you. Beck is as refreshing a talkshow host as I've heard; Conservative in nature but definitely NOT a Republican. I think that there are a few of us here who would really find Glenn to be a resounding voice of sense in the talkshow genre. That is, when he isn't satirizing John Kerry...

Not as a defence, but who owned the whole of Texas, Az, NM, and other western states. If I remember right we settled in what was then Mexico, and these wet backs are doing exactally as we did over 100 years ago, settling back in what was once their country. In 50 years or so they might be the majority in that part of the US, and maybe rightly so.

That's a good point, Richard... I'm presuming that you won't have a problem when the Seminoles and other Native Americans demand their land back and kick all you white eyes out of Florida, right?
I really don't feel all their crying about been forced out is valid. Even if it was, all they seem capable of is ruining the neighborhood (this is from personal observation, not prejudicial thinking).
I have Mexican-American neighbors who are just as disgusted with the illegals and even more adamant about closing the borders., so don't try the "they were there first", okay? I don't mind a good discussion concerning this, but please don't interject any Whoopi or Michael Moore into it; it really causes a terrible odor. JohnC.

Well it isn't exactly the same thing repeating itself. Back before Texas was Texas, Mexico was actually trying to get people settled there to eventually get some commerce going and make some money from the northern territories that didnt have the good fortune to have gold. They gave land to immigrants and levied taxes. I don't think that the whiteman displaced the mexican, more like displaced the indian at the Mexican govts approval. As time went on, the Texans started thinking they didn't need or want to be governed by Mexico and won the war over it, and eventually joined the US.
Contrast that to modern day illegal immigration, while there is some similarity with demand in the workforce for them, and govt blind eye about it, they are legally and officially not welcome to be here, have no right morally or otherwise to stake a claim on any part of this real estate.
That would be like many of us going back to Europe or where ever and claiming it because of heritage. We could do it, but it would get about as far as they could throw us.

I think that we're looking at four distinct agendas here (maybe five if you include the minority of illegals whose intent is to actually live here and contribute to American society--They exist, I've met one or two, but are extremely rare)
1) From a "nationalistic" hispanic perspective: The population of latinos in this country is growing exponentially. In the not too distant future the predominate language here will be Spanish, simply for the fact that America has no "official" language, hence immigrants and their offspring have no obligation, nor in many cases inclination, to learn english or teach it to their children. The public school systems in this country are perpetuating this by supplying spanish speaking classrooms without mandating english courses...
2) From Vincente Fox's and the political element (both red and blue) in this country: Simple--To line their pockets and generate votes. The first of these goals has been working marvelously for ALL of them, there's no outcry loud enough to generate action by any of these crooks. In fact the general belief amongst most politicians seems to be that the more support they give to allowing illegals into this country the more support they'll recieve from a predominately non-voting constituancy...
3) From the rank-and-file illegal: These people have only one goal: to rape this country for what they can get and take it home to retire on. They make just enough money to get their families here, then immediately head for the welfare office where the American government is more than happy to stuff their pockets with cash and foodstamps, not to mention FREE medical coverage in the form of indigent visits to emergency rooms at hospitals. These people send the bulk of their earnings to banks in Mexico, and once their stash is big enough (usually $10,000 from what some of them have told me) they bug out for the motherland and leave America with the bill...
4) From the American government's perch: Hey! More poor and downtrodden to legitimize the necessity of more taxes for social programs and entitlements!! Yay for us, we'll need more caseworkers and LOTS more taxpayers' money to give away!!
...In the meantime an intentionally unprotected border invites the likes of those who would (and will?) bring a reign of terror this country is neither prepared to fight or react to..."I told you so" won't even scratch the surface of how the American public will react when this eventuality comes to pass...
