With prior servers, SSWF was going offline once a week on Sundays; Isky's was never that bad. Now, when I go to look in at SSWF, all I see is the code; lines of it wall to wall, top to bottom, text characters intermixed with a jillion question marks. Same thing yesterday. This had happened once before, last winter I think, but it was just my own copy of the Mozilla browser seeing it that way. Now, it's two different (non-IE, since I will only use that abortion for Windows Updating, and nothing else) browsers.

No problem here as I have just left the following: SSWF, ultrahobbies & rcuniverse sites. DOC Holliday

Hello Kiwi,
I just checked, SSWF is OK through AOL. I have not had trouble with it except when they update or switch servers.
When I think of ISKY's board, I think of Hondas, Krylon, truck diesels, and submarines...plus the occasional joker who would interject some nonsence because the person keyed on a word that is used for other than model airplanes. But I also remember all the meaningful conversations that went on there. It WAS a great board.

Vibrating when accellerating, 1985 Hnoda Accrod! Submarine blueprints! Marvelous stuff. Leonard's forums were only showing up as untranslated (some kind of) text-looking codes for about half a day for me, and seem quite normal now. Well, as normal as the current occupants allow it to be, I suppose. (Edit two days later: the screen full of untranslated text-looking stuff is back again.)

Hi Kiwi, :PNever had that problem. I have used MSN, Earthlink(ugh) and Roadrunner over the last 3 years. Could it be something other than your ISP or Len's software? The only time I have seen what you described is in an incoming email with a text file attached. Guess the sender punched the wrong button.

It may be a Firebird and Mozilla quirk, but I also saw it last fall or winter with Netscape when I still had a version of that installed on a web- surfing PC. Last evening, I saw it at SSW's Jokes & Funny Stories Forum on a couple of threads, but not on any index pages, nor any main forum threads. I like both of the Mozilla browsers quite well because of their superior popup control, although I do prefer the more "plain" Mozilla over Firebird. I do have to reinstall Mozilla on the newest PC -- it supposedly has lost some security stuff it should have had, so I can't make bids at eBay using that one. But there's a new version anyway.
