Got out today with grandaughers to try out an LA-25 I got off the bay and the Brodak 40 that used to be in the Olympic. Emmy had not flown the Skyray with the LA-25, nor had she flown the Brodak Mauler from takeoff. She did great. Little Willow is the one that may take some time. She is only 6 and keeps giggleing instead of concentrating on the airplane. She did get a dozen laps on second try before bruising the grass. I got one pattern in on the Brodak 40/ Mauler combination. Guess I should have flown it in Topeka. That plane has flown great since day one. Don't know where I messed up to get it to fly so good. if you only buy the best quality junk you often can get a good flyin' plane. Only buy castoffs from the best too.

Why spend big bucks on something that is going to eat grass and dirt pretty often. They are learning each time we go out. I guess I could have been a NATS champ if I had ignored the kids and concentrated on my flying more. --DOC Holliday
