When you make your z-bend for pushrods, do you like to do it cold or prefer hot with a propane torch?
Seems that hot comes out with tighter radius and narrower in the zag.

I like to bend the leadout wire, (since they are small diameter) cold using a z-bender tool. The larger sizes, (push rods or landing gear) I use a torch and heat them red hot and bend. I always let them cool off naturally. I have water cooled before, which resulted in brittle bends that broke easily. Lee TGD

I make pushrod Z bends with a z-bend pliers, cold. I've also had good luck making them cold using regular pliers. Sometimes though if the wire is not so good it will break.
