Anyone flying carrier? I haven't flown a carrier ship in 30 years, but am wanting to give it try again. I'm not wanting to fly to compete, just have fun. I have a Dumas Crudader to build and was wanting suggestions as to what engine would be good in this day in time. I formerly used engines that I had made exhaust slides to control the engine speeds. I think there is probably better ways to do this now. I need fresh ideas for this. Thanks Lee

I have been using ST-34's for years on all of the carrier planes I use and find it to be an excellent engine for the job. It's a hard running engine and dosen't complain when starting HOT. It usually costs in the $95.00 price range. The throttle on it I think is hard to beat with low speed needle and high speed needle. Recovery time from low to high speed is excellent.

Check tower hobbies, they still sell the engine and parts as I just ordered a new ring for my old ST-34 along with a new head! This engine doesn't like inverted landings!
