Looks like no one has posted anything here in quite a while, so I'll try to get something going here. I'm finally making some progress on long stagnant electric projects that have fallen by the wayside due to other stuff going on. The first is a Flying Styro Me-109E. Finally managed to get all the big pieces assembled, so now it looks like an airplane. The stock brushed motor has been upgraded to a geared park 270 brushless with a 20 amp ESC (both from E-Flite) driving the stock 3-blade scale prop. Battery is a 2 cell, 870 mah lipo: The second is an HET Yak-1, which was a project for a friend. Power for this one is a Mega 2200 brushless directly driving a 6x4 prop. This airplane is finished now and awaiting test flights as soon as the weather gets better out here. I'll try to get the after pics of this one posted soon. If any of you get bored with the pond, come on over and let us know what you've been working on! This is, after all,a model airplane site.....

The Yaks are cool, just different enough to be interesting, nice job!
Unfortunatley the only thing I have been working on is thawing out.

Our winter project has been a Revell rendition of the Spirit of St. Louis. The four year old and the three year old just don't have the attention span for anything else. Our "shop" fits in a shoe box and everything else is packed away in the rafters of the garage.
We finished the Spirit a few weeks ago and it hangs from the ceiling. Every little boy should have a ceiling full of model airplanes. I bought a slab of quilt batting and shredded it into clouds so we will eventually have a small airfleet to dart in and out. We bought a little Spitfire and it's our new project...
