Yeah! get it and the kit to go with. ;D I think we already discussed the canaopy available from wing, but thats really all you need, makeing formers and sheeting the turtle deck shouldn't be too hard to scratch.

Yah, I know Eric...I already have a B canopy from Jaime. I may just pick up the conversion kit, but he doesn't have the TF P-51, so I'd just have it to sell or wait till I could afford a TF. The shop is already been picked over pretty good, but he has a Nobler and a SlowPoke 40 among a few other things. No warbirds tho...

Stetto, the mod would actually be pretty easy to do. Use the back of the canopy as a pattern for the former behind the cockpit, then run a stringer from the top center of the former back to the base of the fin or to the bulkhead at the leading edge of the stab. Fill in the remaining formers using the TLAR (that looks about right) method, sheet it and off you go.
The TF B mod kit is definitely too big for the GP Mustang.

Yah, I'll do the mod as you describe Jaime...I did pick up the Nobler and the Laser Models miniLaser 3D (electric). He's got an Elder that looked interesting too, but Mama can only take so much (at a time)... It looks like I'll be painting the owner's building, so more acquisitions are to be made . I'll keep you apprised.

It's kind of a standing joke in my family. There's a line from a John Wayne movie where he talks about driving cattle from El Paso (my home town) to "Bell Foosh!!" Got me to wondering where the place was and then I found out it wasn't spelled like that at all. So I figured it HAD to be THE tourist destination in the US, so now I have to go see it. I even have a coffee mug from there--a co-worker is a NoDak and used to pass through there all the time. Ranks right up there with French Broad, TN as one of my favorite places.....
As to what is there--missile silos, last I heard. I'll let you know when I get there...... ;D

What the heck is in Belle Forche anyways ? Well, there's a really nice city park where my Mom and brothers and sister spent most of a vacation day whilst dear Dad got the radiator on the '72 Country Esquire rodded so we could travel more than twenty miles without having to stop and let the block cool down... They should have a heck of a railroad terminal, dontcha think? What with cattle and John Wayne dropping in all through the 1800's... ...Oh, and I believe Belle Fourche is also known as the "Gateway to Redig"... ;D

I am presently taking a now unavailable Great Planes FW-190 ARF and breathing heavily on it to make it look far more like the real thing. I have done this before with many airplanes, ARFs or otherwise and even though I always come to the same conclusion, i.e., that it would have been far better to start from scratch, I continue to do so just because my friends tell me it can't be done. I also have a Global Skyraider that, if built out of the box, has to have a sign on it so people will know what it is supposed to be. It won't need the sign when I'm done with it. I actually made a Ki-61 out of a Mustang several years ago and it is a fairly easy conversion. The Macchi-202 or 205 would be a lot harder. Here's a little Global FW-190D that I worked over. If you have seen the original you know it looks nothing like this out of the box. And here is an electric Scorpio Hellcat that wasn't quite as hard to make look a little bit better. It all comes down to how much time you want to spend and how brave you decide to be with the razor saw.
