Shades of Borgward, but I'm not sure either. Rear engine for sure. The "605" on the fender would almost suggest Peugeot? Three headlights behind the grille - Hmm! Who other than Citroën did that? WAGs for sure! (Not even scientific ones)

!955-1963 (I suspect it's an early one) Tatra T1.603 Czech built "luxury" car (for the communists anyway) with 95 HP pushrod V-8.

Man I almost forgot about this one, as it sat a long time. It is indeed a Czech design car. I read somewhere looking this back up, that Tatra had experimented with superchargers and air suspension back in 1925. The Tatra 603's were considered a luxury car and were virtually hand made and also sought after by the secret police there. Most of the Tatra's use rear mounted engines, and the 603 indeed had a rear mounted air cooled V-8 engine. Here is a brief description of the Tatra, that has been translated into English.
********************************************
The Tatra is a Czech factory of lorries, enough known in the Western countries, but till the 1998 it produced also very refined cars. Differently from the other Eastern cars (and like the early Skoda models, another symbol of the outstanding Czech automotive tradition), the Tatra had original technical and stylistic features (instead, the Russian "cousins" ZIL -another brand of luxury cars- were simply copies of American models, with their V8 engines of big displacement).
In the 1946, the Russians takes the control of the Tatra factory, and the brand was nationalized.
After another stop of the production, imposed by the Czech government in order to increase the production of lorries, another beautiful and original car was launched in the 1957: the "T603" produced till the 1975, in a new plant located in the city of Pribor. It was equipped with a new eight-cylinders engine, air-cooled, 2500 cc, 105 hp. This car was awarded in the West Germany because of the refined and original design, characterized by the three headlights behind a glass screen. On the following versions, the front was redesigned, and four headlights were fitted. Still now, the car has an outstanding fashion: i have seen it even in a videoclip of the rock-band Placebo, where the car is "dismounted" with the computer, and even in a spot of a famous brand of chewing-gum!
