I saw flight test 2 of the B-52 on video. It sure was an impressive bird. Another beautiful plane that bit the dust was the award winning SBD on its first flight.
I haven`t made up my mind if something so well done should ever be flown more than once..they are treasures !
Some have questioned whether Delmar Benjamin`s Gee Bee R-2 should be flown, considering what it cost. He thought all the effort and expense would be wasted to make a display model.
Is anyone else out there as conflicted as I am?

I tend to agree, to see a plane on the ground and admire them is fine, but they are born to fly, and even they don't live forever even on the ground. Especially around my house.
