The park where I fly is having a "Jamaican Jerk Festival" that will close down the airfield. Another lost weekend.

Nothing to report today as the "Jamaican Jerk Festival" had closed down the flying field. Next weekend they have the flea market, so I will spend the first part of the day there. I will need to break one of my rules and get up early for this one.

I see I missed a couple of weeks. Haven't been flying for two weeks at our impromtoo fun fly. New circle Dave Trible has worked to get for us. This past Sunday was anniversary Sunday at Church so no flying either. Now the weather is turning and it is time for the long johns. Finished the injections on the knees and now doing therapy. Amazing how the muscles lose their elasticity. Watch out in the coming months as I am already walking and moving better. Very little pain if any in the knees now. Supposed to be good for 6 months if not longer. Do have the Ringmaster back together that was damaged during the Ringmaster Marathon weekend. Need to do a few touch ups and then paint.

No rain, warm, breezy. The flea market was bigger than usual. I found a McCoy 35 lightening bolt model for $5, an OS FSR 10 and OS 25 LA for $15 and the dealer threw in another 25 LA for free. I found out why when I got them home. One had slack compression and the other has a bad backplate. I also picked up a Cox Medallion .09 R/C for $15. On the way back I spotted a 3D R/C model marked $60, I got it for $30. I have always wanted to turn one into a C/L model. My flying partner was delayed having to find a battery for his wifes imported car, so we got a late start flying today. I got 2 flights on the NoblARF 3/Brodak 40. I finally cured the fuel problem on my partners Predator. Had one screaming good flight.

On the OS 10 FSR, I picked the remains of the carb out of the venturi and the fragments of coral rock out of the head fins. Then I flushed the hardened castor out of the engine and found almost no compression. Now I have 2 of these things in the same condition. Who does chroming on stuff this small?

Go to the racing section in Stunt Hanger. Someone there should know if not in the speed section.

I have tentative plans to fly on Thursday, depending on the weather. The forecast looks good, but I will wait till Thursday morning and see. My wife volunteered to act as helper. She had done this before so she knows what to expect. The last time we went out together, we were alone there and I got 10 flights. I almost ran out of fuel.

Thursday: No rain, cool, windy. I put up 3 flights on the NoblARF #2/OS 35S ABC. The controls are off, I think the leadout crimps are slipping at the bellcrank. I also put up 2 flights on the Fronkensteen 4/LA 46. It is slightly tail heavy.

Well, I did get to go out and fly Saturday with George Hostler from Clovis NM. We flew the Gotcha Streak and the Ringmaster with the new Fox .25 on it. Made a change in the needle valve assembly as I could not get the Fox assembly to draw fuel on suction. On pressure could not get it to hold a needle setting. With the Super Tigre NVA it is working great. Just needs break in time. Oh, George didn't realize that the big planes didn't pull harder. I told him it is all in the set up.
Was going to add a picture, but see no way to do it on a reply message.

Well, I don't know what is different between my computer and yours, but when I do a reply there is now icon to add attachments, like when I did a new post. Even stepped each of the little square icons and see nothing to add an attachment. Also my computer only lets me do one attachment per post.

No flying today because the motorcycle toy run shut down the entire park. Must have been 30,000 cycles there. Instead, I checked out another park closer to me. What a mess. $6 to get in and hoards of Cubans. Someone is making some major money here.
