I have ordered the new Evolution 36 C/L engine, but I have no experience with this brand. I have seen several at the R/C field being used with mixed results. Does anyone here have any experience with the brand or its supplier?

I guess no one else has one. I got mine and have started breaking it in. The basic engine looks good, but I don't like the venturi/rear NVA setup. I have already found a way around it. I took the smallest venturi supplied with it and installed a NVA from an OS R/C throttle in it. It needs to be trimmed a little, but it does work.

I have only seen them, never messed with one personally. Kind of a pain to have to modify it from the get go though.

The mod wasn't really necessary, it just brought the engine to a more familiar configuration. It seemed to run fine with the original setup.

I'm just barely into the LA engines now, I may not ever reach the evolution stage. ;D

I have one on a Sig Primary Force. and it's working out quite well. I did have to make a mod by putting the PA nva in the venturi, using the middle size (.236") one. It ran much steadier, and burns less fuel. (2.5 oz / pattern)

I just mounted my EVO 36 in my NoblARF. It should work well, but I will have a flight report later.

After breaking the EVO 36 in destroying the Hangar 9 PT-19, I put it in a BiSlob that my flying partner turned into a flying brick. By the time the Bislob was trashed, it was well broken in. It was lastly installed in a NoblARF. It proved too much power and too heavy for the NoblARF.

I acquired an Evolution 46 at a flea market and converted it to C/L. I mounted it in a BiPlane someone gave me. The BiPlane is meant for a 60 but the EVO 46 pulls it easily.

What's taking you so long? I still have balsa wood, and glue, and rolls of moneycoat. I'm gonna stop when I have more planes than you and Doc put together! ;D

You have a ways to go. This doesn't even show the combat wings. Attachments:
