OK, courtesy of Photobuckets, here we are: My efforts toward furthering 1/2A stunt. 33" span, a little heavy at 12 oz. but I can make one probably 3 oz. lighter. Not test flown at this date, waiting for the perfect weather... OK, now officilly test-flown...and test-crashed, due to a snapped line. But not before 6 or 8 flights, and I'm very happy with the performance, of engine and plane both. The inverted engine mount posed no starting problems at all, cold or hot. Half a dozen flips at most, sometimes just one. The airplane is smooth as silk, beautiful takeoff runs and nice long flat glides to touchdown, due probably in part to its weight issue. It doesn't scrub speed off very quickly. Turns a pretty good corner, although I think it can be better yet. Fuel tank capacity (1 oz.) is insufficient unless I run much leaner than I want. And I need to find some lower pitch props...I'm pretty sure the Norvel .049 will turn a 7x2 OK, sure want to try if I can find one. First few flights were with (inadvertently) a 6.5x4! And it pulled it fine, albeit a little fast. Repairs and mods upcoming. --Ray
