I am wondering what shape wing would be the best for a racing CL plane. Would a high or moderitly high aspect ratio be best. What about airfoil. What do you guys think? JJ

All of the team racers a the 2004 World Champs were flying wings and all looked like they were the same design. I don't know any particulars about the airfoil and such though. They were a very low aspect ratio which was probably dictated by the need to withstand the rigors of being grabbed at high speed by the pitman.

If you go back in the history of racing, especially AMA racing events, it really does not matter. High aspect ratio is easier to catch if you don't break it. My boy had good luck flying the Buster layout which is low aspect ratio. Just pick a good design and learn to use it. Later, DOC Holliday
