This is a muffler that came with an engine from Ebay. I have never seen a muffler like it. Has anyone else?

Phil,
I've seen modified "703" mufflers before but have never seen this variation. I wonder what they did with the rear cone. I see a lot of the used 703s on the OS 35-S. It looks like the center screw is stock. Maybe the origional cone broke and someone cobbled together a replacement. Could be it was too long and interfered with the LG. Are you gonna try it? What engine did it come with? I've picked up some strange combos from ebay, mostly because some sellers don't know what they have.
Tight lines,
Tom

This came with an O.S 35S. The end is clearly not home made. I don't know what it is from, but it is a factory part for something.

I'm not so sure about that. Looks like a home-made piece to me.
Really hard to believe O.S. would design, produce and sell a muffler which is streamlined on one end, truncated on the other.

I, for one, would give it a try. The tube diameter appears to be about the correct size for the engine.
It'll probably work fine.

Phil,
Did you have a chance to check out the muffler yet?

The engine that the muffler came with was in bad shape. I will probably combine it with another one to get one good one. I have been very busy with a lot of other stuff lately. Hopefully I will get back to it soon.
