I went to visit it one day and poof it was gone. I asked around and someone said David just up and closed it... so I thought I would ask David Moron if he would sell me the domain name. Can you guys believe Mr. Moron told me he wanted $4000 for the domain name. What a freaking MORON... not a Moran. LOL BTW, thanks for the invite Eric. You guys are always welcome at www.rcflying.net as well.

David, it looks like you know about as much (or more) about the closing of the doors as the rest of us. There one day, "Unable to find website" the next...
I think he lost interest in the place quite a while back. There were, at one time, designs on developing a worthy rival to the more popular RC sites, but the small, mighty core of the Flightlines faithful somehow were successful in maintaining a small town atmosphere there, right down to the petty Mayberry style bickering that went on in the Trash Can....David's posts came fewer and farther between over time until most thought him an imaginary host.
I thought of it as the most unique modeling forum on the web, advice culled from most forums were taken and given by familiar "faces" and for the most part highly reliable and trustworthy. I think that several site breakdowns and the higher traffic in the Trash Can steered a great number of the membership to other venues...
...Sad, but in the words of one of our benevolent benefactors at this forum; "It was just a website. Just like all the rest."
