I'll tell 'ya Tom, if you were a litle closer to me, I'd take that original 360 off your hands. Mine's got 197,000 miles on it and it's beginning to show just a bit...Although frankly, the thing still runs great for the most part. Burns about a pint of oil over 5 or 6 thousand miles. I'm even thinking about knocking the hail dents out of it.

Wow, nice pics & nice activities.
I'm working my way through my existing flying inventory -- I have enough flyable machines available (10) to last quite a while, but I have stopped constructing. At present I have 4 90-size warbirds (Spit Mk IX, Corsair, P-39 & Avro Tutor bipe) in partially finished states, so when the flyables are gone I'll re-start the build program.

When my better half lets me take a break from some landscaping projects, I try to get out to the field for some flying. Flying is nature's way of reducing the inventory of flyable models and providing room to build more. And I have a lot of projects in the works, including an Evans Tracer 60 tailess, Wattage S-3 Viking, a GWS Formosa, a partially built Top Flight Orion and Taurus, a Mark's Models T-6 Texan, several control line planes, and a number of small free flight models for FAC competition. Also have a couple ideas I'd like to put together for my club's upcoming annual public show. I haven't been able to participate in this for a couple years. I also want to get back to some conntrol line flying and find out if I've recovered enough of my sense of balance to fly a pattern again. RC just isn't as challenging as cl or ff.

No replies here for a while either. So:
The Bearcat has been finished and flown, sort of. Details in the Warbirds forum. Galvin, if you're still working on yours, put a spar in the vertical fin, check the integrity of the stab spars and skin, and reinforce the hell out of the landing gear blocks. If you need spare parts, I might have some for you..... ;D
I also just delivered a KMP F7F Tigercat. I've been working on that one since April. There's still some radio setup and a few finishing details before she flies, but the customer will be doing most of that. I'll try to get some pics posted...
Now that all the customer planes are done, I can get back to work on mine. The FSK electric ME-109 is coming together, hope to have that one done in a week or so. After that, there is a CMP 70 inch Zero waiting in the wings with a 1.50 four stroke planned for power. The kit looks really nice, we'll see how it comes out.
Is anyone else building or flying anything?

Jaime, I have six or more kits, including the P51 you sent me for bashing, waiting on a garage shelf for bench space, time and motivation... I canardly even remember what kits they are...Lessee, I have a TopFlite R/C Nobler, the P51, a Global Tecate Bipe, an electric Lazer 3D, I think a top-wing flying boat of some sort, a bunch of gliders including a PIC20 3-meter...And all my assorted carcasses including my Cessna 188 with the shredded wing... Unfortunately, I'm thinking of selling the lot, including all my vintage radios, engines, etc...Just not "sold" on the idea yet...

Hey Stetto, good to hear from ya! Get that Cub flying, you need some diversions..... A few more projects just dropped into my lap -- a TF Staggerwing ARF for a friend (after I finish the Me-109 and the Zero), and a landing gear repair on a Dynaflite Decathlon belonging to another friend. There was a point where I couldn't get anything going to save my life, now I have more than I know what to do with! Keep the posts coming, and don't forget the pictures!!

Now that I have figured out how to post pictures on this site; here is another recent project. I built this while working on the Plane in the last post "Windy Days" I wanted a real simple, very basic trianer to reaquire my flying skills since I had not flown in so long. So I did a little math at the computer and just started cutting and gluing, no plans. I just made it up as I went. Still awaiting a test flight as my radio would not give a good range check. I will have to buy a new receiver, and then it is back to the field for another try. Ken

And at the same time I was working on the trainer in the above post I simultaneously was working on this one also. Yep three builds at the same time in a small apartment. I build on a 4" square card table, man oh man was it a mess. ;D I had an old wing that I had built back in the mid 90s. Never got the fuse built as several moves some cross country got in the way. The wing was originally designed for a weight lifting contest and hence the very odd shape. It was strictly built to overcome some problems that the planes were encountering at extremely high cargo loads. This plane is also awaiting it's maiden flight. Again my old receivers I was using did give a good range check. As soon as I have the spare money I will buy 3 new ones, 2 4 channel and 1 6 channel. Here are 2 links The first is to the build thread on RC Groups and the second is to my blog there where I discussed the design rational in this admittedly odd bird. www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1642992www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1821359Ken
