Once more a hurricane has Florida in its sights. Irma this time. It's still a way off, but current forecasts bring it very near Florida. It is too powerful to ignore. As usual, only time will tell. Have to watch this one carefully. More later.

Looks like Irma is going to go up the west coast of Florida after crossing the Florida keys. In Miami, we are due to get tropical storm force winds. This is not etched in stone, but we will see. Here see comes: Attachments:

It's over. No damage. Power out for 2 days. Computer and TV back also. No gas available for a while because the port of entry for the gas, Port Everglades has no power.

Now we have something else to watch. Maria. The forecasters think Maria could follow Irmas path. It needs to be watched.

The rest of the storms missed us. What hit us could have been much worse. Our power & cable were only down for 2 days. A lot of the city had massive damage which surprised me since the storm went up the west coast. Some places still don't have power today. We know one person that has no land line phone. FP&L has a lot to answer for. Right now there are no threats out there for Miami, but that could change at any time.

Well, I'm glad you all are safe and no body damage other than property. It's that time of year I had to put on a jacket at the tack as it was a little cool. Any way last race of the season for me. Getting ready for the Ringmaster Marathon Oct. 7 & 8.

I guess there are not too many of us on this forum that fly CL especially since Bigiron has went to greater rewards.

I know I don't check in as often as I used to. Guess Stunt Hanger is the number one site as it is easy to post and down load pictures. Even Stuka Stunt doesn't get the posts it used to. Barton is the other site I usually get to once a week. Well it is warm out side need to get an engine run in or two.

Weather is pretty calm now. All we have are some light showers sweeping thru. Hurricane season is almost over. We'll have to see what next season brings.

This hurricane season is officially over. Barring any post season surprises, we will start over with the first storm next season.
