It never ceases to amaze me how something like a cat can completely take over a household after a time. He isn't in control, but he believes he is. His name is Harry. Attachments:

Our house companion (or is mistress a better term?) is a small female Maine Coon. She was the runt of the litter. She is going to be 12 years old on St. Patricks's day. Small for her breed, only about 14.5 pounds. Has been known to attack strangers. Accepts leash when outside. In fact, when we ask her if she wants to go outside, goes to the closet door where we keep the leash, starts pawing the door, and meows. Also comes to us for certain things, like food and water bowls empty, or lets us know when the litter box needs cleaning.
As they say, dogs have masters. Cats have staff.
A dog looks at his owner, thinks (They feed me, they take care of me, they play with me, they must be Gods. On the other hand, A cat looks at his owner, thinks (They feed me, they take care of me, they play with me, I must a God.

In ancient Egypt, the cat was worshiped by man. The cat has not forgotten this.
