MrRepublican, is there anything in the rules that state that you can't have your own contest using the old rules? As Jim Thomerson states VSC just celebrated the 20th get together. It is run under there rules using AMA guide lines. The first was in California and then moved to Arizona. But, like any event that involves competition people will push the rules and try to take the fun out of any competition. Our club started Class II Goodyear to try and get more people involved in racing. Now we have special built engines, even tho they are still Fox .15 Schneurle engines. I won the first meet with box stock engine and a SIG Shoestring. Any competition involves practice, unless you do it just for the fun of it. Later, DOC Holliday

Wait a minute first; I have to put a hood over my head and use my voice sound modifier; before speaking about RCCA?! I went to observe an organized RCCA Contest and after watching and asking questions; I've decided not to get involved. It seems that the hobby has become too political and complicated. I've observed this happenning in many hobbies and sports activities today with to much control over many by only a few. That kills many potential participants becomming involved. Cost can be a problem when only the well to do, can spend any amount to enjoy the hobby/sport activity. If your going to get involved in kite flying; waait till you see how much that can cost you, and watch out for HomeLand Security and don't fly too high?.

This is what has happened to Amerika in general now that the pot-bellied bureaucrats have taken charge and decided they are going to 'even things up' for everybody. Sounds good, eh? It is called job security for the bureaucrats at the expense of excellence. Oh well.
