Lee,
Not ignoring you. Just have absolutely no knowledge, hence no opinion of that engine. I'm an olde phart though and most of my engines match my description.

Over on the preacher's web site there are some interesting reactions to bidding wars for NIB 20FPs.
If this continues to be the case, my advice is to avoid costly NIB engines and to reject any used engine which is stated to be in good to excellent condition.
Instead, go for really trashy 20FPs or 25FPs at swap meets. Pieces which are so bad we're lookin' at $5.00 to $20.00, maybe even free. Simply factor in a new piston/cylinder set at $25.00.
In the case of a 25FP, that will also mean a new head, wrist pin and gasket set. While it is annoying to replace a head, or have it turned down to fit 20FP liner, a lot of these engines have worn pads at ends of wrist pin anyway, and new gaskets are always a good idea.
I mention this as while I started out with four used 20FPs, one of them being relegated to being a parts motor, one of the three started nicely, needled well, had good power. But on a model it had a tendency to lean out more than desired toward end of flight, did not exhibit the Goodness and Light running characteristics I have come to expect.
There were no apparent problems internally. But installing a new piston/cylinder set brought it back to life. In fact, this is the same motor Mike Hazel used on the Dirtmobile (ARF Flite Streak) in Classic, Sportsman P-40 and Advanced PA this past weekend at Salem, Oregon, contest. I used same model/engine combo to win Expert P-40, again in Salem. Nobody who was there to see it has any further doubts...
So if one of three basically good, used 20FPs still responded well to new parts, just buy a junker and spiff it up, especially as replacement parts continue to be readily available.
