Ooops, I only saw the second where he said Lear 35. Mea Culpa.
In the same stash where the DC-3 stuff is supposed to be, I have a stack of Gates Learjet Magazines, I think they also carry a Shell Oil logo, I think they were produced for Lear Jet owners or stockholders or something. My old neighbor had some interest in Lear Jet, but I never knew what it was.
Galvin, Maybe you knew him? Frank Crismon? Everyone said he was Chief Pilot at United, but I think his real title was Manager of Flight Operations. He was retired when I knew him, but he took me through the United Flight Training Center in Denver once, and everyone sure saluted him. Similarly, he used to take me out in his Cougar to practice driving on the closed runways at Lowry Airforce Base, and then to lunch at the Officer's Club there. Again, he was treated with great deference.
